Reinforce The Partnership with Festival Ngejot
In the end of Ramadan, people in
Lenek prepare many things to make their celebration become unforgettable. Every
woman cooks many menus with the best ingredients which be given to their
beloved family. Then, every man tends to be a great man, with working hard and
more diligent even they are in fasting. Of
course, the kids who were in their vacation moment try to help any vacancies
that need them.
That day come in a day before
Idul Fitri. Every woman brings their food that they put into a place, dulang.
Their tembolak, a covering on dulang , protect their dish
when their voyage make them walk away from their dusun, their village, to
the main venue of the tradition, Lenek Field.
We know that tradition as the way
to rainforce relationship in Lenek. Everyone called it as Festival Ngejot. Ngejot
is derivative of word jot, which means “mengantarkan” (Kamus Sasak
Indonesia, 2017: 199). All of dusun, which spread into 10 dusun
in Lenek, participate this tradition happily. After that delivering moment, the
tradition was continued with pawai, walk away together to the same
place, the kids from all dusun bring their mosque replica while sing salawat,
the adoration to Allah, and enlighten the village with their obor,
manual torch.
